Your rights. Your data. Your choice.

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), you have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. We take this right seriously and have made the process straightforward.

What Gets Deleted

When you request account deletion, we permanently remove:

  • Account information — your name, email, phone number, and login credentials
  • Financial records — all income and expense transactions
  • Business profiles — all registered entities and associated data
  • Payroll data — employee records, payslips, and salary history
  • Tax calculations — all computed tax data, reliefs, and remittance records
  • Uploaded documents — receipts, invoices, payment proofs, and all encrypted files
  • App preferences — notification settings, keywords, and custom configurations

⚠️ This action is permanent and irreversible. Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Please ensure you have exported any records you need before requesting deletion.

How to Delete Your Data

You have two options to request data deletion:

Option 1: From Within the App

  1. Open Taxblabla and go to Profile tab
  2. Tap Settings (gear icon)
  3. Scroll to Account section
  4. Tap Delete Account
  5. Confirm with your security PIN

Option 2: Via Email

Send an email to [email protected] with:

  • Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  • Body: Your registered email address and a statement confirming you want all your data deleted

Processing Time: In-app deletion is processed immediately. Email requests are processed within 48 hours. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been permanently removed.

What We May Retain

In limited circumstances, we may retain minimal anonymized data that cannot be traced back to you, solely for:

  • Aggregate usage statistics (e.g., total number of users who used a feature)
  • Legal or regulatory obligations under Nigerian law
  • Fraud prevention (hashed identifiers only, no personal data)
